Christmas Tree Fun

When we moved here I couldn't wait for Christmas to go to a Christmas tree farm with the fam and cut down our tree.  I thought it would be super magical.  Well, I got the stomach flu the day before and was feeling less the awesome and it was raining, but we were determined to get our tree.  So here we go!

We gave Porkchop permission, because he was wearing rain boots, to jump in as many puddles as he could find while looking for our tree.  He was a little nervous at first and made sure to have reassurance that he wasn't going to get in trouble.

The excitement is almost to much to handle!!!!
YES!!!  VICTORY!!!
Piglet was totally excited by the trees and the smell.  Here she is smelling the trees.
Trying to find the perfect tree turned out to be more difficult than I thought.
But we finally found THE ONE and got to work.
Here's Piglet giving it a try...
with a little help from daddy.

Babe wasn't really diggin' the whole sawing thing.
Honey wasn't either.  Check out that facial expression!
Carrying the tree was just as exciting for the older girls (insert sarcasm here).
2 seconds in . . . here we are taking a break from carrying the tree.
As long as we were taking a break I figured it was the perfect opportunity to take a sibling picture.
Man!  Finding a tree is exhausting!

Christmas Morning

This is what happens when you try and take a picture of your kids on the stairs first thing Christmas morning with a flash.  Mmm...not so good!
This one is a little bit better, but after the first shot with the flash my youngest wouldn't trust me to look at the camera.  Oh well!  Next year! Maybe I should read up on all of those pins I put on Pinterest about taking better pictures on Christmas morning!

Regret

I try not to have to many regrets in life.  It's a waste of time in my opinion, but one regret I do have is while in Germany I had the opportunity to buy a dirndl and didn't!  What's wrong with me?!  I so need to find a pattern to make one.  Anyone know how to make a dirndl and want to teach me how?  I want to look as cool as these two awesome dudes!  Come on!  Help a girl out!
